Palms and Sparrows, original acrylic painting on canvas, unframed.  This painting is inspired by the palm trees that my grandfather planted at their home on St. Mary's, Isles of Scilly.  I have a photograph of me standing by the middle palm tree with my grandad when it was newly planted and I was very little - now all the trees are huge!  In the summer the sparrows jump about the branches cheeping loudly.  We still get to visit the house once or twice a year to repeat this experience!
