A medium sized Lapwing handcrafted from salvaged materials and my special paper mache mix.  I have occassionally caught a glimpse of a beautiful Lapwing or two flapping it's way across farmland but have yet to have a close encounter with one - I have to satisfy myself by making them intsead!  The sculpture is quite robust - it's template starts with reclaimed wood built up with newspaper and my paper mache mix, with wooden feet attached to allow him to stand. The work is varnished and weather resistant for several years but may be transient outdoors longterm.  It measures 35cm high approximately.  Each piece is unique so will vary a little in appearance.  Every one is individually sculpted, handpainted and decoupaged with an am using snippet from a magazine. Ask me about personalisation for your outlet or region - there is space for a few bespoke words on it's body.  This piece is made to order - it's best to allow six weeks for delivery as I may already be busy, but do get in touch if you need one sooner as I may have stock already made.
